Howard F. Endsley

Born: May 31, 1922

Died: July 27, 2010

Services: Funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Gene Honeycutt officiating.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel on Wednesday, July 28, 2010.

Howard F. Endsley, age 88, of Friendsville, passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Maryville Healthcare. Mr. Endsley was a member of Unitia Free Saints Holiness Church and was the former Commissioner of the city of Friendsville as well as a member of the Alcoa Aluminum Co. 25 year club. He was an avid Hunter, Harley-Davidson Motorcyclist, Fisherman, and Vegetable Gardener who loved sharing his vegetables with friends and neighbors. He is preceded in death by his son, Howard Eugene Endsley; daughter, Brenda Gail Endsley; granddaughter, Amy Bookout; and brother, Jerry Ray Endsley; He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Louis Frances Drake Endsley; son, Mark Allen Endsley of Friendsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Katherine “Kate” Endsley Newberry of Maryville, Bonnie Rhea Endsley of Friendsville, and Mona Endsley Jeffries and husband, Mike of Friendsville; grandchildren, Casey Cutshaw, Chastity Qualkenbush, Shaun Newberry, Jonathan Newberry, and Coy Best; several great grandchildren; brothers, Jewel Endsley and Robert Endsley; sister, Betty Petty. Funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Smith
Trinity Chapel with Rev. Gene Honeycutt officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the Knoxville, Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for the Interment service. Memorial gifts may be made to the Unitia Free Saints Holiness Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2200 Sutherland Ave. Ste. H102, Knoxville, TN 37919. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, 865-983-1000.
